Following last night’s draft edition of SmackDown, the card for Hell In A Cell is starting to properly take shape.
Firstly, there was a new stipulation added to the rematch between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso for the Universal Championship. Not only will it be a Hell In A Cell match, it will also now be an ‘I Quit’ match. The first time this stipulation has been used in conjunction with a cell.
It does feel like there may be more juice to squeeze from this story pre-match. ‘The Tribal Chief’ and his special counsel Paul Heyman continue to push that this will be the highest stakes match in WWE history.
Will Jey Uso have to put something on the line against his cousin’s title belt?
The other big development for the PPV sees a huge grudge match inside the ‘demonic structure’ as Sasha Banks will take on Bayley with the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line.
The two women faced off this week on SmackDown. Predictably, the match ended in an inconclusive fashion when Bayley intentionally got herself disqualified by hitting her former best friend with a chair.
There have been two previous Hell In A Cell matches featuring women and Banks has been on the losing end of both of them, against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The smart money should be on her snapping that losing streak this time round.
WWE Hell In A Cell takes place at the WWE Thunderdome on Sunday October 25th on the WWE Network.
The current card is as follows:
- Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso (Hell In A Cell, I Quit match)
- WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton (Hell In A Cell match)
- SmackDown Women’s Championship: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks (Hell In A Cell match)
