The hottest show of the summer is really starting to take shape, and WWE have now announced two new matches for SummerSlam.
In a match which has only come about in recent weeks, the returning Sasha Banks will take on Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
On this week’s episode from the blue brand, Banks opened the show to explain why she attacked the title holder following her return on 30th July.
‘The Boss’ claimed she was here to reclaim her spotlight, which brought Belair to the ring.
Belair would go on to accept Banks’ challenge for SummerSlam.
On the same night, it was also confirmed that Seth Rollins and Edge would face off at The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
This match has been boiling for weeks, with Rollins unhappy that ‘The Rated R Superstar’ ended up facing Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Money In The Bank.
After calling him ‘Edge-lite’, the Hall Of Famer made the match official for SummerSlam.
Add this to the Roman Reigns title defence against John Cena and Goldberg’s return to face Bobby Lashley, and the SummerSlam card is getting stacked with high-profile matches.
