Following on from this weeks AEW Dynamite and the huge 12-man tag team match featuring Hangman Page, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and FTR vs. The Dark Order, the official AEW Twitter account posted a clip of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood ‘moving smooth in the ring’ where they showed off a few quick tags.
It wasn’t long before Harwood retweeted the post with some added comments:
This quickly brought a response from one half of The North (From IMPACT Wrestling), Ethan Page saying that they (The North) need to work with FTR, which gathered steam very quickly when the Co-Executive Vice President of Impact Wrestling himself, Scott D’Amore, gave this inter-promotional match his backing.
The conversation then finished with the other member of FTR, Cash Wheeler joining in and D’Amore giving a suggestion of how it could happen.
There’s been no more activity on the thread just yet and there would surely be a LOT of negotiation and compromise between the two companies before a match like this could take place between two different promotions, but it’s definitely something for the fans to discuss and get excited for.
The North recently lost their Impact Tag Team Titles to The Motor City Machine Guns. The reign that came to an end was the longest title reign for any belt in Impact/TNA history. This accomplishment put Page and his partner Josh Alexander firmly on the map to the point where they are considered the next team to join the top tier of international tag team wrestling.
