Well, it has been hinted at throughout the incredible series and, during the fifth and final instalment of Undertaker: The Last Ride, Mark Calaway confirmed everyone’s suspicions.

The 30-year run of the most legendary wrestling persona of all time will finish up with immediate effect.

Towards the conclusion of Revelation, Taker admitted:

“I’m at a point, this time the cowboy really rides away. There’s nothing left for me to conquer, nothing left for me to accomplish and the time just feels right. This documentary has helped me discover that.”

“I’m going to be around but I’m still going to miss you guys. And most of you I already do miss.”

“This business has given me everything. It’s ingrained in me, and it’s always going to be a part of me. I did things my way, and I’m going to leave my way. And I’m good with that.”

However, there was one caveat which left the door slightly open.

“If the WWE hit ‘emergency break glass here’, I’d have to consider that.”
