It’s great to have Sonya Deville back on our screens, albeit with her authoritive position on WWE SmackDown rather than in action.
Whilst she’s happy with her current role, Deville has commented that she would be open to an in-ring return.
Speaking on the latest edition of The Bump, Deville was asked about stepping back in the ring and said she’s sure things will come full circle.
I don’t know right now. I like rocking my suits every week and calling the shots. I think being in charge is something which kind of comes naturally to me. I think I’m a born leader so I like this new role.
But you know, I’m Sonya Deville and I’m a fighter at the end of the day. Obviously I love to get down and get dirty, and I like to kick ass. I’m sure everything will come full circle eventually.
Deville was forced to take time away from the company after SummerSlam last year after a stalker attempted to kidnap her.
The case is still ongoing, but it’s a positive sign that Deville is in the right state of mind to appear on weekly television, and will hopefully be competing again soon.
