Sasha Banks has returned to WWE after a nearly two-month hiatus, facing off with Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch at Extreme Rules.
Just when it looked like Bianca Belair was on course to regain the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch with the KOD, Banks made her way to the ring and attacked the challenger, leading the referee to throw out the match. ‘The Boss’ then laid out the champion for good measure.
This was the first time Sasha Banks had appeared on WWE TV since the August 13th edition of SmackDown. She and Belair were removed from live events for reasons that have not yet been made clear. Belair came back in time for SummerSlam, where she was set to face Banks in a WrestleMania rematch, but ‘The Boss’ failed to appear and Becky Lynch took up Belair’s open challenge, capturing the title in just 26 seconds.
Sasha Banks is still a member of the SmackDown roster, but with a WWE Draft coming up soon, it is possible she could be moved to Raw where she is a five-time Women’s Champion. Whether this would mean an end to her feud with Bianca Belair remains to be seen.
