Paul Wight will return to competitive action when he wrestles at AEW All Out on 5th September.
The former Big Show’s last match was against Randy Orton on the 20th July 2020 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
His return to action comes about due to the feud between Tony Schiavone and The Factory, which Wight interjected himself in last week after QT Marshall attacked Shiavone’s son Chris.
This took place on last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, and this week Wight joined Schiavone in the ring to discuss his actions.
Marshall came to the entrance ramp and tried to discount the idea of Wight being able to return to the ring, running off a list of his recent injuries and even showing a photo of the scar from his recent hip surgery on the big screen.
At this point Wight revealed he had already been in discussions with Tony Khan and AEW management, and confirmed that he would return to action at All Out to face Marshall.

Wight joined AEW initially as a commentator for Dark: Elevation, but there had been plenty of speculation that he would soon transition to in-ring competition, especially when a photo emerged of many of the roster and he was pictured wearing his ring gear rather than a suit.
