Former WCW President Eric Bischoff has praised AEW star MJF – and true to his usual style, Friedman has responded.

Bischoff’s plaudits for MJF come for strong work on the microphone, which is something MJF has never been shy of. The likes of Cody Rhodes, Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho have all received similar verbal treatment from the two-time Dynamite Diamond ring winner.

In recent weeks he has somehow managed to get even closer to the bone during his verbal sparring with Brian Pillman Jr, with very personal insults flying at Pillman Jr’s father, the late Brian Pillman, and mother Melanie.

When a fan on Twitter commented that he’d like to see an association between Bischoff and MJF, the former WCW President said he would only be slowing MJ

@The_MJF is on a different level when it comes to character mic work. I’d be slowing him down!

True to form, MJF responded that there’s no character involved.

It ain’t a character uncle E.

On this week’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Pillman Jr had the chance to garner some revenge for the insults which MJF had made in recent weeks. Although he seemed to get inside the head of MJF in the buildup to the match, he came up short in the match as Friedman got back to winning ways after losing to Chris Jericho at AEW All Out.
