With ten shows taking place across nine days on the WWE Network during WrestleMania week, the announcements are going to be coming thick and fast over the next couple of weeks.
Whilst neither will come as a surprise, the main events for both nights of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver have been confirmed.
Firstly, Io Shirai will be putting her NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Raquel Gonzalez. This will serve as the main event for the first night of the event, set to be broadcast on the USA Network in the US and BT Sport in the UK.
On night two, our headline bout will be for the NXT Championship as Finn Balor defends against the former champion that never lost the belt, Karrion Kross.
This portion of the event will take place on Thursday April 7th on Peacock in the US and on the WWE Network internationally.
Shirai has held the women’s title since May 2020, and most recently retained on NXT against Toni Storm.
Balor beat Adam Cole to take the vacant title in September. The belt was stripped from Kross mere days after he won it due to an injury sustained in his title winning match against Keith Lee at NXT TakeOver XXX in August.
The first ever multi-night TakeOver has a number of stellar matches in the pipeline to complement two incredible main events.
The grudge match between Adam Cole and former Undisputed Era running mate Kyle O’Reilly is almost a lock and a match between NXT UK Champion WALTER and Tommaso Ciampa also looks highly likely.
