Kurt Angle has been inspired by Game Of Thrones to create his own ‘Tap Out List’ of stars he never had the opportunity to wrestle inside the squared circle.
The list, which is inspired by Arya’s kill list in Game of Thrones, was posted on social media and includes seven wrestlers he never went against in his two-decade career.
As you’d expect, the list is relative who’s who of professional wrestling for the men he would have loved to put in the ankle lock. It’s topped by WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart, and also includes the likes of Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
Interesting, Rollins shared a ring with Rollins when he became an honorary member of The Shield in 2017, but never faced him across the ring.
Angle revealed the full list on his Instagram page.
One interesting name on the list is someone who recently named angle as a dream opponent he wished he had the chance to face, that being AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
Omega made the comment in a recent interview, with Angle responding on Twitter that the match “would have been a classic”.
It would seem Angle has been offered a number of deals to return to the ring, most specifically by AEW, but has stated that he can’t make a return to the extreme pain he is in each day after a punishing (both amateur and professional) career.
Reportedly the offers to Angle from firstly included many matches, then a handful of matches, and finally just being an on-screen personality, however none of this has come to fruition at present.
