Kenny Omega Reveals Dream Match He Wishes He’d Had With WWE Legend

Kenny Omega has opened on a dream match he wished he’d been able to have, and the legend in question has responded to the AEW World Champion.

That’s not to say Omega doesn’t have dream matches coming up in the very near future, as he will take on Bryan Danielson on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam at the Arther Ashe Stadium in New York. This will be only the second encounter between the two stars, who last faced each other for PWG back in 2009.

Speaking on Adam’s Apple, Omega says that one of his few regrets is not having a match against Olympic gold medalist and former World Champion, Kurt Angle.

I felt like I just missed out on maybe wrestling Kurt Angle, and that would have been a dream match for me. He’s a guy that I consider probably one of the best of all time. Especially for what I try to do in the ring and I try to bring in athletics and real sports. He was a jack of all trades and there won’t be anyone like him ever again, I don’t think.

Angle has seen the AEW World Champion’s comments and responded in kind.

Thanks @KennyOmegamanX– Would have been a classic. Much respect!

Angle recently spoke on his own podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, about how much money it would take for the match to happen – however, the jovial attitude and jokes about his wife make it seem like the match is beyond the realms of possibility.

If they paid me $10 million, I would do one more match. I’ll wrestle Kenny [Omega] for $10 million. I’ll get my ass kicked.

Mrs. Angle [would kick my ass], I’m more scared of her than anybody else. I wouldn’t be able to tell her, there’s no way she would let me do it. She would lock all the doors from the outside.
