It was reported by Ringside News overnight and subsequently confirmed by multiple sources that multiple time tag team champion Jimmy Uso is on the shelf with a serious knee injury that could sideline him for 6-9 months.

The injury is the latest in a series of setbacks for Jimmy and his twin brother Jey. The duo only returned to SmackDown in mid-January following Jimmy’s 2019 DUI arrest.

The injury was reportedly suffered at WrestleMania 36 in the Smackdown Tag Team Title Match that saw Uso battle Kofi Kingston and John Morrison in a ladder match. Jimmy has not been in action since although his brother Jey faced off with Big E and The Miz in a triple threat match on Smackdown Live that saw Big E take the win and the tag team titles for The New Day.

This past week’s Smackdown Live saw a title defence booked for The New Day at Money In The Bank on May 10th as they will battle The Miz & John Morrison, Lucha House Party and the Smackdown newcomers, The Forgotten Sons.
