Jeff Hardy To Wrestle At Money In The Bank: Two New Matches Added To WWE PPV

Jeff Hardy

Not unexpectedly, WWE have added a further two matches to Sunday’s Money In The Bank match card. The show is due to air (in the main) from WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

With only six matches previously announced (Five if you consider the two MITB matches to be one match), it was clear WWE would add more contests, and now they have.

Announced this evening on social media, the first of the two matches sees Jeff Hardy face Cesaro on the pre-event Kick Off Show. Hardy looks to be building towards a rivalry with Sheamus so this match with the Irishman’s former tag team partner makes sense. It should make for a cracking match too.

Announced for the main show itself is a match that will pit R-Truth against MVP in a slightly left-field pairing.

MVP continues his low key WWE comeback by appearing in a singles match on WWE PPV for the first time in over a decade. His last appearance was a losing effort against The Miz in an Intercontinental Championship match at Elimination Chamber on February 21st 2010.

Whilst this match seems a bit thrown together, could it be where the touch paper is ignited on Apollo Crews’ rumoured heel turn and alliance with the Ballin’ host of the VIP Lounge?

WWE Money In The Bank takes place on Sunday May 10th with the main event being a dual male and female Money In The Bank match that will see all 12 competitors start the match in the lobby of WWE’s corporate headquarters and fight it out to the roof of the building to climb a ladder to grab their respective briefcases. The women’s side of the match will see Shayna Baszler vs Asuka vs Carmella vs Nia Jax vs Dana Brooke vs Lacey Evans. On the men’s side the match will be between AJ Styles, Otis, Daniel Bryan, Aleister Black, Baron Corbin & Rey Mysterio.
