Hot off the heels of changing the date of their Rebellion pay-per-view, Impact Wrestling have announced a big change to their regular programming.
Starting from 8th April, Impact TV will move from Tuesday to Thursday nights.
Although this move means the first episode will go up against night two of NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver, it means they won’t be up against the black and gold brand’s weekly shows when they move to Tuesdays the week after.
Impact has a history of airing on a Thursday night, something which Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore has commented on.
Impact Wrestling has years of history airing on Thursdays, which was the night for high-energy, action-packed matches, starring some of the most high-profile stars in pro wrestling history. Nothing is changing from that front when Impact jumps back to Thursday nights.
This also means that not only will WrestleMania week be nine days straight of WWE programming, but there will be a WWE, AEW, NXT or Impact show on every weeknight from then onwards. Wow!
