Shad Gaspard’s Body Found Near Venice Beach

Shad Gaspard

A body has been found in close proximity of the beach on which former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard went missing on Sunday. It has been confirmed by authorities that the body is in fact Gaspard’s.

Gaspard, 39, was swimming in the sea with friends and his 10 year old son before a strong riptide put them in distress that led to a coastguard led rescue attempt. It’s reported that Gaspard aided rescuers in ensuring his son’s safety before being lost under a further wave.

This morning, ABC7 news out of Los Angeles report that a body had been found close to the location.

A few minutes ago, CBSLA reporter Tina Patel broke the news that this body was, as expected, Shad Gaspard.

The body was found at 1:46AM local time on Wednesday after authorities responded to an emergency call.

Gaspard’s wife Siliana posted a heartfelt thanks to first responders on Instagram yesterday as well as praising her husband’s strength and praying for his safe return. She posted:

We would like to express our gratitude to the first responders who rescued Aryeh and to the lifeguards, coast guard, divers, fire and police departments for their continued efforts to help find our beloved Shad.

Shad is a fighter, a warrior and a magical soul. We are hoping and praying for his safe return. As a family we thank you all for your concern and well wishes. Please continue to keep sending your positivity and prayers to our beloved Shad.

Our thoughts are with Gaspard’s family and the wider wrestling community of which he was such a beloved part.
