Former Women’s Champion Teases Stunning Return

WWE Divas Championship belt

Former Women’s Champion Paige has hinted that she might be getting back in the ring.

The former SmackDown General Manager hasn’t wrestled since being injured during a house show in December 2017, but it appears her in-ring career might not be over just yet.

The star’s latest post on social media comes after repeated teases in recent months, with the Anti-Diva saying in April that she would return tomorrow if she could get cleared.

Along with a photo showing a framed film poster for Fighting With My Family, her Divas Championship belt and a pair of boots, the star posted a thinking emoji.

Paige signed with WWE in 2011 after making her in-ring debut when she was only 13. After a stint in FCW, the British star was crowned the first ever NXT Women’s Champion in 2013.

After defending her title against the likes of Natalya and Emma, she debuted on the main roster the night after WrestleMania 30. In the process she defeated AJ Lee for the Divas Title. With the victory 21-year-old became the first woman to hold the NXT and Divas Title’s simultaneously, the youngest Superstar to hold a WWE’s women’s title, and the first woman to win WWE gold on debut.

Paige first underwent neck surgery in 2016, before returning to the ring in November the following year. However, the her comeback was over before it really began as she injured her neck again just one month later. The former champion officially retired the night after WreslteMania 34.
