Bryan Danielson Set For Huge Match At AEW Rampage ‘Buy In’

AEW President Tony Khan has announced that Bryan Danielson will take on NJPW star Minoru Suzuki on the AEW Rampage ‘Buy In’.

For the first time ever, one of WWE’s main roster shows will compete against an AEW broadcast on October 15th. That Friday, SmackDown will be two and a half hours long instead of the typical two, with the final half-hour being in direct competition with Rampage.

Tony Khan has been playing up the rivalry between the two companies in the build-up to the show, going as far as to say he “can’t wait to defeat” SmackDown. Khan also said that Rampage would have a Buy In for the first time, meaning that AEW will be broadcasting head-to-head with SmackDown for 90 minutes.

In a sign Khan is serious about wanting to defeat WWE’s main show, he took to Twitter to announce that the Buy In will include a dream match between Bryan Danielson and Minoru Suzuki, who are widely thought to be two of the best in-ring performers in the world.

Khan also revealed that Bobby Fish will face Lee Moriarty at the Buy In. This will be the first match for Fish since he made his surprise debut with AEW on October 6th and took on Sammy Guevara’s in a losing effort for the TNT Championship.

You can watch Bryan Danielson take on Minoru Suzuki on the AEW Rampage Buy In on YouTube at 9 p.m. ET with Rampage itself airing live at 10pm ET on TNT.
