Hot on the heels of the two part Fyter Fest specials of AEW Dynamite, the company has confirmed the card for next Wednesday’s ‘Fight For The Fallen’ episode and it looks an utter banger.
Perhaps the most eye-catching bout will see Chris Jericho face indie death match standout Nick Gage in a no rules match in the latest of the ‘Five Labours Of Jericho’ set by MJF. Jericho revealed he will bring back an old persona for the bout to best combat Gage’s love for ultra-violence.
A high stakes five on five elimination match take place that will pit The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and The Good Brothers) against Hangman Page and The Dark Order (Stu Grayson, Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds and John Silver).
The stipulation of the bout states that if the Dark Order team win, Page will receive a shot at Omega’s AEW World Championship and The Dark Order will get a tag title match against The Bucks.
If The Elite win, the babyfaces can never again challenge for those titles.
Another NJPW crossover will take place as new IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer will face Hikuleo with the title on the line. The Bullet Club Member is also the son of Tongan wrestling legend Haku.
In tag team action, Santana and Ortiz of The Inner Circle will face The Pinnacle’s FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) and we will also see a six-man bout pitting Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus against Angelico and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy)
Fight For The Fallen will take place on Wednesday 28th July in AEW’s usual timeslot on TNT in the USA and on FITE internationally.
